This paper proposes an approach to optimize the fuel economy of a two-speed electric vehicle (EV) in car sharing business through Genetic Algorithm and ADVISOR co-simulation. The ADVISOR simulation model built including dynamics, fuel cell, storage battery and motor. Under NEDC working condition, the two-speed gearboxmodeled, modeled and the optimal combination of transmission ration and main reduction ratio is found by genetic algorithm to improve fuel economy.
