Steel cylinder makes great contribution in forming a fast quay wall of man-made island. In practice, the installed steel cylinder will be cut or uninstalled to meet the need of construction. This paper analyzed the stability of steel cylinder during uninstallation stage with finite element method. An engineering case was used to demonstrate the analysis procedure.
