A mathematical model of a pumping unit, consisting of a fixed pump and an automatic flow rate regulator, intended for use as part of a mathematical model of a volume hydraulic drive that requires a constant supply pressure for its operation is described in article. As the carried out studies showed (their results are given in this article), the proposed model describes the physical processes during the operation of the pump unit quite well. In addition, based on these studies, recommendations are given on the need to include a hydropneumatic accumulator in the structure of the unit, which will significantly improve its dynamic characteristics.
