The lining of traditional electromagnetic flow sensor is insulated. But this limits the use of electromagnetic flowmeter. This paper presents a new type of electromagnetic flowmeter, which can measure the conductivity of pipe wall. The circuit is designed to compensate the sensor output induced potential. The stability and reliability of the new electromagnetic flowmeter are verified in theory and experiment.
