This article provides the population and the developing economy of the Far East of Russia with information regarding passenger transportation needs. The study assesses the condition of the passenger railway complex and customer satisfaction with transportation services. Suggested prospects for the development and reform of the passenger railway complex of the Far Eastern Federal District.
