In consideration of the demerits of the traditional four-quadrant converter whose operating voltage of the dc side is very high, a new type topology converter is proposed whose topology belongs to quasi-buck topology and the voltage of the dc side is reduced by about 50%. Therefore this kind of four-quadrant can be used in the lower voltage filed. The modelling of the converter is described in this paper. The validity of the converter topology and the model along with the theory is proved by MATLAB simulation and the experiment result.
