The phenomenon existing in the automotive industry is considered, namely the valve “knock” associated with noise during the operation of the shock absorber. Road and bench tests of shock absorbers allowed explaining the causes of the valve «knock» - a developed method for predicting the appearance of knocks at the vehicle design is presented.
