In the article, based on the analysis of literature sources, the effect of changing the geometric characteristics of abrasive grains during circular grinding on the roughness parameters of the treated surface was evaluated. The proposed dependencies take into account the parameters of processing modes, the size of the abrasive grain and the radius of its rounding, their change during operation, as well as the change in the state of the working surface of the tool, taking into account the processing time. The obtained dependences make it possible to predict the kinetics of changes in the surface roughness in multi-pass grinding.
