The acoustic performance of locally resonant layer backing with the “panel-water-panel” termination has been studied. Using the finite element software COMSOL, the acoustic model of locally resonant layer has been given firstly. Then, the effect of several parameters including incident angles, cell numbers and cavity defects, on the sound absorption performance of locally resonant layer have been numerically analyzed.
