To date, there is an accurate understanding of the need for competent formation of a highly functional spatial framework of the urban environment. In order to effectively manage the development of the urban development environment, various projects are being created and implemented to create a comfortable urban environment at the level of the municipality. The author considers the approach of creating and implementing a system for assessing the quality of the urban environment, which would allow the formation of an index of the quality of the urban environment in a particular municipality.
