The article deals with the pollution of ambient air with dust and carbon monoxide along the Volgograd highways. Time history of carbon oxide concentrations depending on the distance from the roadway curb at the wind speed of 2 m/s and different wind directions to the road, as well as the time history in PM10 concentration during the day in the air of the urban environment are shown. The article highlights the negative impact of road transport on the health of the urban population; a scheme of monitoring stations in Volgograd is shown.
