The paper discusses methods for improving the biomechanical properties of titanium nickelide for its further use as a medical material. The aim of the paper was to study the processes of formation of oxide and nitride surface layers on titanium nickelide by the methods of oxidation and nitration, as well as the effect of these treatments on the mechanical properties and biocompatibility of the alloy.
