
On the estimation of the reliability probabilistic model of railway wheelset

In the present paper is made a comparison between various estimation methods for the reliability probabilistic model of the railway wheelset. The analysis is based on real field data, observed in actual operations of freight wagons. The Weibull distribution is used to model the reliability and the applied estimation methods are the Maximum Likelihood Method and the Regression Method.
