The paper first introduces the principles of artificial intelligence and expert systems, and makes a detailed analysis of the application of expert systems in power systems. Secondly, the paper uses VC++ language to establish an expert system for judging power system fault areas and fault types. The system can identify power system bus faults, line faults, circuit breakers and relay malfunctions and refusal faults. Finally, the system simulation test shows that the fault diagnosis expert system established in this paper has certain theoretical and practical significance.
