This paper is devoted to quality management of a high-tech product at the design stage. The object of study is a multipurpose High Altitude Long Endurance Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (HALE UAV). Quality management is supposed to be implemented through such a tool as quality function deployment (QFD). The article provides a detailed description of this method and gives an example of its use at the stage of conceptual design of a HALE UAV.
