The article discusses radially inhomogeneous thick-walled cylindrical shells in which inhomogeneity may be due to various reasons (structure, the effect of the temperature field, etc.).Thick-walled shells are called equal-stressed, if the principle stress σ 1 in all points of the body is constant. In inhomogeneous body, in addition to the elastic modulus of a material, its strength can also variable. In accordance with the first theory of strength, if the stress σ 1 is variable and at each point the strength of the material is equal, then the thick-walled shell is called equal-strength. The article discusses the modelling of equal strength concrete thick-walled shell with free ends.
