A three-dimensional mathematical model of the movement of a timber hauler with a semi-trailer along an uneven supporting surface and a computer program developed on its basis are presented that made it possible to evaluate the possibility of equipping the fifth-wheel coupling with an energy recovery system in various driving modes and to study the effect of recovery system parameters on its efficiency.
