This paper presented a numerical model of flapping-wing mechanism and optimized mechanism parameters by genetic algorithm. The result of optimization shows right-and-eft asymmetry of mechanism motion was greatly reduced to 17.07% of initial mechanism. The right-and-left asymmetry of wing motion of flapping-wing was greatly improved. It proves the feasibility and veracity of genetic algorithm applied on optimization design of flapping mechanism.
