June 13-14, 2019 at Bangkok, Thailand Editorial The fifth International Symposium on Hydrogen Energy, Renewable Energy and Materials 2019 (HEREM 2019) has been organized and held on June 13-14, 2019 in Bangkok (Thailand). The HEREM 2019 has been sponsored by the International Energy and Environmental Research Institute and technically assisted by the University of Agder (Norway). The aim of this HEREM is to provide unique platform for researchers, scientists, engineers and professionals from all over the world to present and share their latest research results and new ideas in the fields of Hydrogen Energy, Renewable Energy and Materials for sustainable development of the global community. The HEREM 2019 has been organized with special plenary speeches on advancement of integration of renewable energy technologies with hydrogen as an energy carrier, solar catalysis for hydrogen power and fuel cell, global perspective on economic feasibility of small scale solar photovoltaic systems, role of catalysis for greenhouse gas conversion into fuels, materials advancement in milling tools. With successful experience and learning from the previous years’ HEREM, it is going to contribute consistently in the scientific domain of hydrogen energy and renewable energy technologies with materials engineering for sustainable development. The proceeding of HEREM 2018 was included in the Elsevier’s Energy Procedia (vol. 144, pages 1-194).
