The article deals with the problem of improving the efficiency of vehicle use by reducing the consumption of fuel and energy resources of trucks during the carriage of goods. A solution is proposed, based on the development of a special software product that allows taking into account the vehicles` adaptability of different weight categories to the mass of the transported cargo. It is offered the software to calculate the objective fuel consumption norms on cargo transportation.
