Increasing of the energetic performances of an engine and reducing the consumption of fuel, and emissions of carbon oxides may be obtained with the aid of a mechanism with variable compression ratio. In this paper, we perform a numerical study of one mechanism of this kind highlighting the variation of the mechanical parameters and the influence of the geometric dimensions on the compression ratio.
