In this study, a simple coating technique to enhance the selectivity performance of P84 co-polyimide hollow fiber polymer membrane was investigated. The hollow fiber membrane was coated with polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) to prevent gas flow through the defect surface. The prepared membranes were characterized using X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and pure gas permeation measurement. The pure gas of O 2 and N 2 were used to determine the permeation properties of the hollow fiber membrane. The single gas measurement showed that the perm-selectivity of O 2 /N 2 of the hollow fiber membrane increased up to 181% after the coating treatment. It is concluded that the simple coating technique has significant effect in enhancing the selectivity performance of the hollow fiber membrane.
