The paper presents algorithmic procedures for selecting control options for electric power systems. The decision-making algorithm for choosing a strategy for the development of electric power systems for variable boundary conditions is given. The decision-making algorithm in the selection of promising areas of development of electric power systems is shown. The procedure of multi-alternative selection of boundary conditions for the development of the developing electric power system is presented. An example of estimation of characteristics of the distributed electric power distributed system is given.
