Plates with flange are used in many engineering structures such as aircrafts, ships, and mechanical devices. In this paper, a numerical study for the vibration analysis of fully clamped rectangular Al-1100 alloy plates with different flange angles and different flange inner diameters was worked out. SolidWorks 2014 Simulation add-in was used to perform the analysis. It was found that increasing the flange angle and flange inner diameter increases the fundamental frequency and decreases the flange thickness. Adding the flange can increase the fundamental frequency up to (27%).
