The paper considers frictional interaction of carbon-containing composites with steel at high temperatures. Material “Hardcarb-TPG” has better tribological characteristics than materials “Hardcarb” and “Hardcarb-TP”. At a speed of 0.16 m/s and a load of 1.0 MPa, the friction coefficient of the Hardcarb-TPG material is 23% lower than that of the Hardcarb-TP material. Thus, at a temperature of 500 °C and a load of 1.0 MPa, the friction coefficient of the Hardcarb-TPG material at a speed of 0.16 and 0.25 m/s is 8 and 14% higher than at a speed of 0.05 m/s, respectively. The friction coefficient of the Hardcarb-TPG material at a speed of 0.16 m/s and a load of 1.0 MPa in the temperature range 300…600 °C varies from 0.13 to 0.30.
