This paper reviews the present state of the act of advanced manufacturing technology of the manufacturing in the Nigerian economy. Furthermore, this review also carried out a study on the current trend of an advanced level of operation of the manufacturing industry in Nigeria. In this study, some key changelings are identified, and possible solutions are recommended on why the innovative technology is yet to be embraced and implemented despite the vast and fantastic contribution it could impact on the socio, economic, and political development of the nation. This study will assist the Government of Nigeria to make a move in developing strategic plans on replacing the local manufacturing process to the advanced manufacturing technology (AMT) to strengthen the economy of the nation further.
