There is a higher electricity demand due to increasing population and economic development. Conventional power companies struggle to meet these needs both in generation and distribution. However, the common use of electric and other power generators, driven mostly by fossils fuels, shows certain limitations including decreasing efficiency and energy resources. Therefore, the application of renewable energy sources is greatly significant. The purpose of this research was to analyse the potentials of hybrid power generator system (PV-Wind turbine) and the optimization of electric energy requirement using hybrid optimization model for electric renewable (HOMER) software. The results confirmed this study as useful and a valid reference for government in building power generation systems through renewable energy utilization.
