In this paper, a comparative simulation analysis with traditional, conventional and conformal cooling channels of a plastic injection moulded part with variation in wall thickness has been analysed with the aim of determining which configuration will give better results in terms of part cooling time, volumetric shrinkage and warpage. The objective is to improve the part quality and to reduce the overall cycle time needed to manufacture the part.
