The capacitor-start capacitor-run single-phase induction motors are analyzed by means of double-revolving field theory. This paper presents a practical approach for obtaining equivalent circuit parameters of a single-phase induction motor drive. The mathematical modelling of the machine is done by considering both the rotating fields. The input parameters of a single-phase capacitor-start, capacitor-run induction motor are investigated through simulation and experimental results under normal power frequency operation. The performance of the above single-phase induction motor is analyzed for different load conditions.
