The paper describes the procedure for theoretical and experimental determination of the graphical regularity of the effect of the electrode pressing force on the amount of energy supplied to the interelectrode space when producing overlap joints of plates with equal thicknesses by using resistance projection welding. The regularity reflects a sufficiently strong connection between the parameters of the welding mode with the heat balance equation of the interelectrode space and the Joule-Lenz law.
