The article considers the application of modern methods of mathematical modelling in the process of solving problems of mathematical physics in the aerospace industry. To describe the temperature distribution in a given area of space and its change in time, the heat conduction equation is used. This equation is a special case of the diffusion equation and is a second order partial differential equation. The tools of the mathematical package MathCad are considered, which can be used to study physical processes described by the heat conduction equation under various initial and boundary conditions.
