The extreme low temperature of the alpine region is easy to have a bad effect on the sealing performance of the rubber seal strip of the shelter. In this paper, ABAQUS software is used to simulate and analyse the compression characteristics of the seal strip of the shelter at 23°C and -55°C, the Von Mises stress and the surface contact stress at two different temperatures are obtained. The result shows that the compression performance of rubber seal strip is sensitive to the extreme low temperature, and it is prone to low-temperature failure. The simulation results in this paper can provide an important reference for the subsequent low-temperature environmental test, so as to more comprehensively analyse the low-temperature failure mechanism of the rubber seal strip of the shelter in the alpine region.
