In this paper, the method of vertical reinforcement of the base with reinforced concrete elements is considered, applied at a real site in Ekaterinburg. The construction site is characterized by difficult engineering and geological conditions due to the uneven occurrence of eluvial and rocky soils of variable thickness, as well as the presence of specific soils within the soil massif. The imperfection of the normative documentation, based on the lack of knowledge of this method, makes it difficult to design these foundations under load. Frequent comparison with structures typical for traditional pile foundations leads to problems when justifying this method in local authorities of state expertise and sometimes does not take into account the uniqueness and economic efficiency of this topic. The advantages and disadvantages of this method are highlighted when using it in the design of a real object.
