As the age of a person makes it easily infected with a disease such as diabetes. In this case, food from a person with a disease must eat food that corresponds to the nutrients needed to reduce the sufferer’s blood sugar levels. Based on the problem, there is a combination of food system to help diabetics in arranging meals according to the sufferers criteria. This system requires criteria for the manufacture of food combinations and using the genetic algorithm method to produce the best alternative of food combinations for diabetics. The result of a combination of food is taken based on chromosome efficiency of genetic algorithm. Accuracy calculation method of genetic algorithm reaches 100% by comparison with manual calculations of the 5 test cases that have been made. From these results can be concluded that the application of the genetic algorithm method is sufficient to help diabetics in the manufacture of food combinations that match the criteria of the sufferer.
