The article presents ecotones classification in three-dimensional space, which covers organisms of different sizes - from bacteria to trees. The data on horizontal, vertical and cross-horizontal ecotones formation consisting of microorganisms in the soil are presented. The data on artificial construction of horizontal ecotones in bottom deposits are presented. The values of CH 4 H 2 S CO and CO 2 production produced by microorganisms were obtained when artificial barriers were introduced into bottom deposits. Methods of ecotones economic exploitation with the use of methane-tanks are proposed.
