State regulation of the agricultural sector is one of the main conditions for the effective functioning of the country’s economy. The key task that the state must solve in the process of regulating the agricultural sector is to create a favorable environment for the effective conduct of economic activity. In the modern period of the formation of agrarian legal policy, the study of the legal foundations of sustainable agricultural development is extremely important. The article notes the importance of the system of Russian legislation as a factor in strengthening agricultural production. The institutional aspects of the activities of farmers, including economic, regulatory, legal and strategic, are established.
