The state of the quality of drinking water and soil of the settlement has a direct impact on the health of the population and this problem is undoubtedly relevant for most territories of the Republic of Dagestan. In this regard, this article discusses the results of studies of drinking water from artesian wells and soil in the village of Bogatyrevka, located 18 km northwest of the city of Makhachkala in the Republic of Dagestan and 8 km west of the Caspian Sea coast, with a population of about 3200 people. The object of research were soils and artesian waters, which are used by the population of the village as a source of drinking water, since there is currently no centralized drinking water supply.
