All papers published in this volume of IOP Conference Series: Earth and Environmental Science have been peer reviewed through processes administered by the Editors. Reviews were conducted by expert referees to the professional and scientific standards expected of a proceedings journal published by IOP Publishing The reviews comment on the main provisions of the paper, give a generalized reasoned assessment and draw conclusions about the relevance, scientific novelty, scientific and practical significance and the possibility of publishing the paper in the journal. During the peer review, the following aspects were assessed: • compliance with the subject of the journal; • correspondence of the title of the paper to the content; • whether the abstract contains essential information about the paper, whether it is suitable for inclusion in the summarization service; • the degree of originality and novelty of the research results; • statement of the problem in general terms, its relevance; • sequence of presentation; • compactness and clarity of illustrative material: diagrams, figures, tables and captions; • use of scientific terms; • structuredness of the paper material; • theoretical and practical value of the paper; • the validity of the conclusions presented in the paper, their value. Particular attention is paid to the completeness of the bibliographic list of the paper. The process of unfair citation (unjustified increase in citations, as well as self-citation), incorrect citation (unjustified by the content of the cited papers) is controlled. In the Conclusion, the reviewers conclude: 1. The paper is recommended for publication without revision; 2. The paper is recommended for publication, taking into account the comments of the reviewer (without re-reviewing); 3. The paper is recommended for publication, subject to revision and re-review. 4.
