Zoobenthos organisms are directly related to the biogeochemical processes occurring at the bottom and in the water column of the channel. The paper presents the results of studies of the quantitative characteristics of the zoobenthos and the water quality of small rivers in the river basin of Shilka in the area of gold mining enterprises.
