This article examines the transport sector of the Kyrgyz Republic. It is noted that transport does not produce tangible products, but, despite this, the production of transport is measured by the transport work performed - cargo turnover and passenger turnover. Accordingly, they are to some extent the units of measurement of this system. The transport system of the state plays a primary role in all its socio-economic spheres.
