Possible complex approaches for assessing the condition of freshwater lakes using data on microbial diversity, obtained by high-throughput sequencing, were considered. The structural features of microbial communities, associated with increased anthropogenic impact, have been revealed. We identified some microbial taxa, which can be considered as indicators of the environmental status of freshwater bodies.
