All papers published in this volume of IOP Conference Series: Earth and Environmental Science have been peer reviewed through processes administered by the Editors. Reviews were conducted by expert referees to the professional and scientific standards expected of a proceedings journal published by IOP Publishing. • Type of peer review: Double-blind peer review • Review criteria: Consistency with the conference scope; Academic value of the paper; Presentation style of the content. Each criterion was assessed with the following scale: Poor, Satisfactory, Good, Excellent. The majority rule was applied to determine the outcome of the review. If all the referees give different marks for a single position, that the intermediate mark used as a consensus. All the manuscripts with Good and Excellent marks on each position were accepted as is. The manuscripts with Poor marks on any position were declined. Other manuscripts were sent to the authors for revision. After revision, an editor performed a check if the revision was successful.
