The article is devoted to the problem of drainage and conditions of soil moisture in the Novgorod region; the solution of this problem is associated with the definition of reclamation measures in agricultural land use. The article gives a characteristic of drained areas, identified based on the conditions of their moisture, type of nutrition, depth of groundwater, granulometric composition and filtration coefficient of rocks, height of the terrain and, accordingly, the degree of soil moisture, and proposed reclamation measures aimed at increasing their fertility.
