The hunting and fishing industry of the Novgorod region has good opportunities for development in terms of the geographical location and natural resource base of the area. At the same time, nowadays due to certain circumstances, it does not function well enough. The article considers the main problems and risks of the industry development, provides recommendations for creating an optimal model of its sustainable development.
