The probabilistic analysis of intra-annual and interannual variability of river flow in the Uy river basin is carried out using the theory of random processes. The results of the analysis are summarized in terms of a probabilistic model. The regulatory capacity of the catchment area and man-made structures is estimated. Materials of observations made it possible to assess the hydrological structure of flowing water bodies and the impact of waste water from thermal power plants. Analysis of the hydrological and hydrochemical regime of reservoirs has shown that dynamic mixing plays a significant role in the regime of water bodies.
