The study of the structure of welded joints of E76KhF rail steel at new modes of electric contact welding with the use of additional treatment with electric current was carried out. It was found that the structure of lamellar pearlite prevails in the weld zone. In the course of the study, the optimal welding parameters were determined, due to which it is possible to obtain the required favorable material structure.
