Nowadays in view of sustainable development it is very much important to reduce the usage of building materials that creates negative impact on environment. There is a necessity to reduce the production of cement content in order to reduce the CO2 content in the atmosphere and which may be achieved by introducing Mineral Admixtures in concrete. This also improves the quality of concrete. Wood ash is found to be one of the suitable mineral admixtures as it has got high pozzolanic activity. But strength of concrete decreases with increase in percentage of wood ash. The aim of this study is to enhance the strength of Steel Fibre Reinforced Concrete (SFRC) in which cement is partially replaced with wood ash. This research work presents the experimental investigation to evaluate the compressive strength and flexural strength with the addition of wood ash from 0 to 20% with increment of 5% in steel fibres reinforced concrete. From the experimental results, for the optimum 10% wood ash achieving considerable benefits in compressive strength and flexural strength.
