The 7th Conference of the Environmental Problems of Large River Basins (EPLRB-7): Preface Dear reader, I have the honor to bring to your kind attention a collection of proceedings of the International Scientific Conference “Environmental Problems of Large River Basins - 7”. Six previous conferences [1-5]1 were timed to coincide with anniversary dates in the history of the Institute - 10, 15, 20, etc. years from the date of its foundation. But time is moving faster and faster today. This made us hold the 7th Conference in the middle of the 5-year cycle and discuss the urgent environmental problems of the basins of large rivers (first and foremost, the Volga River, the largest river in Europe).
