The paper discusses one of the most active areas of production digitalization, capable of reducing the risks of environmental pollution - a solution for the virtual representation of the real static and dynamic characteristics of a technological system, briefly called “Digital Twin”. The concept and classification of Digital Twin are described. The application of Digital Twins is also considered, starting with the analysis of the work of smart products in real operating conditions and ending with the creation of a fully digital robot factory.
