In hydrophilic reservoirs, formation water exists in the rock void in the form of water film, and the existence of water film has a great influence on the oil and gas seepage in the formation. In this paper, based on Archie’s formula, the water film thickness in sandstone reservoir is tested, so as to study the formation mechanism of water film thickness. The results show that the larger the water saturation, the thicker the water film thickness and the smaller the gas flow channel.
